Government

Incorporated in 1888, River Grove was the first village in Leyden Township. Served by a Village President, Clerk and six Trustees, River Grove is a Home Rule municipality with just over 10,000 residents and is located in the west central portion of Cook County, Illinois.

Mission

The mission of the Village President and six-member Board of Trustees (commonly referred to as the Village Board) is to plan, direct and coordinate village activities in order to achieve the goals set forth by the Village President and Board of Trustees.

Meetings

Residents are encouraged to attend Village Board meetings which take place on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 6 pm in the Elmer Wolf Community Center located at 2607 N.Thatcher Avenue.
