1. How many public school districts are in River Grove?

There are two public school districts in River Grove for children in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. Please check the map on this page to determine whether your child is eligible to attend River Grove School or Rhodes School. Both school districts are separate and distinct taxing bodies from the Village, each with their own elected officials.

2. Does the Library belong to the Village of River Grove?

No, the River Grove Library District is completely independent from the Village of River Grove and is governed by seven trustees elected by the residents of River Grove.

1. Does River Grove have a Park District?

No, River Grove does not operate a park district. However, we offer our residents of all ages a wide variety of fun and exciting programs each year through our Recreation Department. Click here to learn more about our current events.

In addition, all River Grove residents belong to Leyden Township which offers additional recreation programs throughout the year. Click here to find out more about Leyden Township's Parks and Recreation programs. 

Lastly, Veterans Park District includes the section of River Grove that is west of River Road and south of Grand Avenue.
